Background & prerequisites

Background & prerequisites

The legacy admin interface was falling behind current UI standards and platform requirements for Shopify, BigCommerce, and Wix, risking app store compliance and merchant retention.

To modernize the UI without halting active feature development, we led a dual-track strategy: maintaining the legacy platform while building a scalable, next-gen architecture in parallel.

An initial MVP draft had been prepared by a previous designer. My role was to audit and scale this foundation: aligning components with Shopify Polaris, polishing edge cases, and delivering a production-ready design system and UI.

Filter management page

I redesigned the filter creation and editing flow. Previously, users couldn't see available and selected values side by side when adding a filter. By introducing a dual-table UI pattern, I made the selection process clear and transparent.

Filter value management UI

Collaborated with the team to introduce a new Synchronization section, allowing merchants to set up indexing schedules and track critical store update notifications.
